Hayyyyy, this is Traci! One half of the goofy Side Eye girls. I think I just might be the crazier half! Ohhhh well. But you can decide for yourself.

Why do I do the Side Eye Podcast? Mostly because I love hanging out with my dear friend, Nikki! But also because I love to laugh and crack jokes about any and everything. Nothing is TMI to me, and no one is spared. But hey, it’s all meant to be in good fun!

Outside of the podcast, I’m an artist living in Reno. Check out my work!: tracilturner.com

To give you more of a glimpse into me, here are some random questions:

1. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to learn how to sing or play the piano. If not that, then I’d like to learn how to draw hands really well.

2. If you were reincarnated as an animal/drink/ice cream flavor, what would it be?
Animal: A cat, so I could chill and lay around all day and get rewarded for it.

Drink: Alcoholic: a whiskey or gin and ginger beer; Non-alcoholic: strawberry & banana smoothie, or any fruit smoothie in general

Ice Cream: Cherry Garcia…..**drool**

3. What part of pop culture do you wish would just go away?
Ugh, the Kardashians. I can’t believe these people are famous (even internationally known), and rich. They contribute to society’s rapid deterioration.

4. What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod?
Officially, it’s Hey Champ’s remix of “What You Need” by Priors

5. What do you miss most about being a kid?
Light up shoes, and seemingly infinite free time to just bullshit and play video games

6. What is the funniest thing you have heard a child say?
I overheard a 4 or 5 year old girl wax philosophical to her mom about makeup and natural beauty, saying that makeup allows people to believe that woman appears completely different than she actually looks like. She went on to say that women should just be happy with how they look and be themselves. As cute as that was, and as accurate of an observation it was for such a young girl to make, I laughed because all of that crap is going to go straight out the window once she starts liking boys and feels the need to compete with other women. We’ll see then whether she thinks a tube of lip gloss or mascara won’t hurt every now and then.

7. Where’s Waldo?
Probably in the unemployment line

I am an over the road truck driver and am out for weeks at a time. The radio gets old so I am usually listening to my podast. When I get home I update, ones I like I get new episodes, ones I don’t get deleted. I’m always adding to my list of go tos, and that is where you two come into the picture. At first I was going to turn you off but I had to focus on the road so you got some extra play time and I’m glad you did.
I can’t help but laugh when I listen to the two of you. The other thing is that I listen back to back and will have heard all of your episodes by the time I stop tomorrow. I hope the sound gets better and that the two of you continue what you’re doing. Ting!
By the way this is something I read from a diary that has been passed down from generation to generation from my great great great great grandfather, who was a slave. He writes about the day he met my great great great great grandmother. He says he was in the field working and saw her walking to the big house and he turned to his friend who was working beside him and said, now that’s 40 acres I’d like to mule

Ed, you are amazing! We are thrilled that you listen to us on your long drives. We cracked up when you said you were about to cut us off at first. Thanks for giving us a chance! We apologize for the sound, that’s something that we are still working out. We get better mics in the later episodes, but still need to figure out how to optimize their capabilities and balance the sound. I think we’re really close to getting it together though. And your great great great great grandfather is a grand mack-father! 😉 We are definitely going to share that on our facebook page!
